Michael’s Bible Journal Jan 28-Feb 3

Scripture – Luke 15:6 “You nullify the word of God for the sake of your own tradition.”

Observation – Tradition does not always reflect the heart of God. Men forget the word of God and form beliefs based on their assumptions and logic. Recently, Pastor Samuel explained we can deceive ourselves and form false ideas when we do not know what the full word of God says about a matter.

Application – We must be willing to let our strong emotions around an idea die. When  we discover a clear command of Christ that challenges what we believe, that previous belief must be tried, sentenced, and put to death.

Prayer – Father God, always give me daily portions of Your will for me. Help me to live these words with boldness and humility.
