The answer to this question must always be based on what Jesus said the Church is to be. Jesus said the church was to be His bride. It is His great first love and a reflection of His Father’s heart.
Jesus never meant that the church was some specific organization. It was to be churches, bodies of Christ, within cities, towns and villages. These groups of believers are to be unified; as one and living organisms. They conduct themselves from God’s very own nature. They are to be in relationship with Him and in community with one another.
The church Jesus had in mind would always invite all people to come and see that the Lord is good!
