God wants us to reform society by bringing the Kingdom of heaven to earth (Matthew 6:9-10). We do this by calling people to discover their divine assignments in the Seven Mountains of Culture—family, religion, government, education, business, media and arts & entertainment—and to transform society through their respective sphere of influence (Matthew 5:13-14, 28:18-20; Genesis 1:28-29).
Because it takes wealth to reform society, God wants us to prosper (Deuteronomy 8:18; 3 John 2) and use the wealth to advance His Kingdom and transform society.
Because the Church is founded on apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20, 4:11), we believe and embrace the office and ministry of the apostle. Embrace! Simply Jesus is part of an apostolic network called Global Awakening.
We welcome and honor prophets and the prophetic ministry (Matthew 10:41). We are called to be a prophetic people and are committed to do only what we see our Father say and do (John 5:19).
We believe strongly in the biblical family model and are committed to its strength as a foundation for our church and society. To that end we have strong ministries for adults, for children and teens as well as young married’s and those with special needs.
Jesus gave us a commandment to love one another (Matthew 22:39). Therefore, we are committed to walk in love and unity in our home, our church, among the churches in our city, among the different ethnic groups and especially among those who don’t know Jesus in a personal way.
The Bible says, “The just shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:17). “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb. 11:6). We are called to be people who “live by faith and not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7).
We want to offer hope and encouragement to the discouraged and depressed in our society and in our church (1 Corinthians 13:13).
Jesus is full of grace and truth (John 1:17). We, too, are to be people who are full of grace. We know that by God’s grace we are saved (Ephesians 2:8) and sanctified (Titus 2:11-12), and by His grace we experience success and favor in life (James 4:6; 1 Corinthians 15:10).
We seek to demonstrate and declare the Good News of Jesus, heal the sick, help bring deliverance to the oppressed and incorporate people into our church through evangelism, inner healing, deliverance and healing (Matthew 10:7,8; Mark 16:15-18).
Through small home groups, we seek to edify the Body and train future leaders. We desire to identify specific needs in our church and community and to act to meet those needs through Houses of Acts. HOA’s can provide an evangelistic opportunity where every believer can experience the excitement of fulfilling the Great Commission.
In our discipleship and training, we seek to call people to Jesus, grow in Him, radically live out His Word and release people and leaders into ministry. Every believer is a minister (Ephesians 4:11; 1 Peter 2:9).
Because the harvest is greater among the youth and because we sense a responsibility to reach the next generation, we place a high priority to reach and minister to the emerging generation in our church and city.
Because a sovereign God uses finances to expand His Kingdom, we believe that God wants us to give joyfully and sacrificially with our tithes, offerings, time, talent and things. All of these are used as a means to fulfill the Great Commission.
Through missions we seek to plant churches cross-culturally, minister to the poor and train and empower indigenous leaders. This will be done through the local church and through our alignment with the Missionary Denomination as well as Global Awakening, the apostolic network with whom Embrace! Simply Jesus has become aligned.
Recognizing that none of the above can be accomplished in our own strength, we seek to be perpetually revived and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We embrace the prophetic words that have been given that a great end times revival is upon us. We believe we are to rise up as an Apostolic Center in Ventura County in response to revival.
