Title: If the Lord had not been on our side

Entry:

This week, I feel somber and grateful as I read the words of Psalm 124, “If the Lord had not been on our side…they would have swallowed us alive…the flood would have engulfed us…” With the election behind, I feel personal relief since the outcome I was hoping for has come to pass. I know more difficult spaces lie ahead, but I feel a deep sense of gratitude knowing some of the battles have been decided. Life has won and many lives will be saved from being engulfed. I pray that the Lord will equip and mature each believer to perform their role in this next phase of our lives. We have been given an opportunity to build a future. I pray that none of us will fall asleep now that we feel security, but we will build a world that is right and secure for those who need our influence.
