Title : God Turned Back time
Scripture – Isaiah 38:8 – “Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down.
Observation – This is the account of how God answered King Hezekiah in his sickness and recovery. God not only healed him but gave him a sign that he would restore the years lost because of Hezekiah’s faithfulness. God turned back time in that moment. This is what God can do in our lives if we trust in him when all hope seems lost and or major obstacles in life come our way. Jesus is the God that turns back time, he restores the years that we have lost because of our sin and the sin of others towards us. We must trust in him and hold onto our hope in God’s word and promises to us.
Application – I will put my trust in the God of King Hezekiah, the God of Abraham and Issac and King David. I will hold onto his word for today and his promises to me for tomorrow.
Prayer – Father God, I put my trust in you today. I seek you by my spirit. My Spirit runs into your arms today, Holy Spirit. I believe you and hold on to your promises to me and I know you will restore to me what was lost because of my sin and the sin of others. Therefore today, I stand in your perfect peace in every storm of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
