Galatians 6:7-9
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
What an amazing revelation! I have the ability and responsibility to sow and reap in my own life. Whatever I sow, I will reap. My life isn’t someone else’s fault, what’s growing in my life is from my own decisions.
What you put into your ears and eyes and heart are the seeds that will grow in your life.
Proverbs 4:20-23
My son, pay attention to what I SAY;
turn your ear to my WORDS.
Do not let them out of your SIGHT,
keep them within your HEART;
for they are life to those who find them
and health to one’s whole body.
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
I have the ability to change what I harvest in my life! If I plant God’s word into my heart I will grow His fruits and if I plant the things of the world I’m going to grow the world’s fruit. Let us not grow weary in planting the good seed of God’s word and let us tend to the seedlings that begin growing.
God please help us see where we are planting worldly seeds and give us strength to remove those things that we are allowing to grow in our hearts that will bring destruction. Thank You for giving us Your word and help us to stay encouraged that You are growing things in the soil of our heart even when we don’t see it
