Sam Sorbo studied biomedical engineering at Duke University before pursuing a career in entertainment. An award-winning actress, author, radio host, international model, and home-schooling mom to three children with Kevin Sorbo, Sam Sorbo seeks to inspire parents to home educate. Sam co-wrote, produced, and co-starred in the 2017 feature film Let There Be Light (executive producer, Sean Hannity; director, Kevin Sorbo.) To correspond with the film, Sam and Kevin wrote their devotional, Share the Light. They are currently in production on Miracle in East Texas.

As the daughter of two public school teachers, I was raised to love the public school system.  As a licensed school counselor with a master’s degree in education, former PTA president and full-time mother of current CVUSD students, I understand the important impact that a top quality school system has on the community.

I am working hard to ensure the highest quality education for all CVUSD students by providing effective leadership to bring administration, faculty, parents and the community together to accomplish our educational goals while staying within a responsible budget.
