The Lord found me when I was lost. He saved me and has given me life – better than I could even imagine. I was empty and alone in my apartment channel surfing when the Holy Spirit caught my attention on TVN. Joel Olsteen was giving a message on hope. I cried and bowed down before the Lord and gave my life to Him. I was on fire for Him and God opened my heart to minister to the homeless. The Lord called me to the Harbor through two homeless people on the street. One homeless lady heard my witness and said there is something in you – you need to go to Harbor Church and tell people how God came into your life. I didn’t listen. So God put another person in front of me – a man on a bike. I prayed for him and he told me I needed to go to the Harbor. The Lord said come to my house as I have a purpose for you. I went and the office manager took my number but I never expected a call. I was ministering to someone on the street when a Harbor staff member called. I told him how God opened my heart with love for the homeless, how I wept over the city and how badly the homeless were being treated. The church said they had been praying for more people in the city to come help and invited me in to begin serving 5 days a week – first in the computer center, then in the prayer ministry where I saw many deliverances. Eventually the entire homeless ministry was released into my care.
Now I am going to Embrace School of Ministry on a journey to get my pastoral license. In this new season my heart is to reach not only the homeless but also the disabled and elderly communities with the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Dealing with Cerebral Palsy and using a wheelchair does not hinder me from spreading the gospel. Physically I may be bound but spiritually I am free in Christ. There are no limitations in God’s kingdom. He uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.
1 Co 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.
