6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them– walking, leaping, and praising God.
We see here in this chapter a man with a disability that wants money to survive. Peter and John saw this man at the gate called Beautiful. Peter and John are about to let Holy Spirit show his love to the man at the temple by telling him they don’t have money, but God wants to give him something even better than money. Peter and John prayed over him in the name of Jesus. The man was healed. He was dancing and leaping and worshiping the Lord. The people in temple were amazed by this, but Peter said why are you amazed by this? This is the same God you had killed before Pilate and rose again and this was not done through the power of men, but through the power of the Spirit.
In conclusion, we cannot doubt what God can do through his people and can trust in him no matter what. The scripture says “If you do not believe me unless I carry out my Father’s work. But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me, then you will know and understand that the father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
