Acts 16:31-34

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved —you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

The part of this verse that jumped out to me was at the very end:

“He was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God”

I remember when I came to believe in God, the joy, the peace, the hope. Everything changed in that moment.

That moment was made possible by a coworker in the restaurant I was working at in Pasadena. In conversation at work it came up naturally for him to suggest I go to his church in Anaheim. I am eternally grateful for that small decision he made to share.

We have the ability to invite people into a fullness of joy through belief in God. How many people in our day to day lives are just waiting for an invitation? You could be the one who changes a life with a simple word.
